Dr. Jeffrey P. Friedman
Newtown Connecticut Doctor Jeffrey Friedman MD is the Director of Medicine at Community Health Associates, and is a Board Certified Internist. He has been practicing Primary Care Medicine in Newtown, Connecticut for over thirty-five years. Dr. Friedman completed his medical degree at Rush University School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. with membership in the Honor Society. He completed his residency at Danbury Hospital, a Yale affiliated medical center. In addition to Primary Care and Internal Medicine, Dr. Jeffrey Friedman has extensive experience in Geriatric Care. He served as the Medical Director for Ashlar of Newtown, one of the Premier Skilled Nursing Facilities in the State, for over 20 years. Dr. Jeffrey Friedman is now a member of the MDVIP community, offering concierge medical services only. However, he still oversees all of the operations at Community Health Associates.
Dr. Kumkum Modwel
Newtown Connecticut Doctor Kumkum Modwel MD has over 30 years experience practicing family medicine, women’s health, and chronic disease management. Dr. Modwel’s care philosophy is: “to establish long term relationships with my patients, to treat and care for them so they may live and enjoy long healthy lives.” Dr. Kumkum Modwel speaks 5 languages, including English, Farsi, Arabic, Hindi, and Urdu. Her late afternoon practice accommodates patients who can not make it to the doctor until after work or school and desire continuity of care from a primary care physician. *Dr. Kumkum Modwel is not in the office on Mondays, so please keep this in mind when scheduling your appointment.
Cheryl Rosenthal
Cheryl Rosenthal is a licensed Nurse Practitioner by the State of Connecticut and is also Nationally Certified. She has a Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has graduated with honors and an award of distinction. Cheryl Rosenthal performs physical exams; assesses, diagnoses and manages acute and chronic disease; interprets diagnostic tests and writes prescriptions. She has extended visit time to instruct and counsel patients on a variety of health issues.
Jody Friedman
Jody Friedman is the Office Director at Community Health Associates. She is responsible for creating a welcoming and properly maintained professional environment that enables patients to receive the top medical care and comfort when visiting their provider.
